Stacks of fish at the Park - My biggest net yet!

I love to fish my local park. I've gave it a real good go this year, fishing it an almost embarrassing amount of times. You could call me a bank rat; one of those that fishes a place to exhaustion to in order to tempt its specimens. In my defense, I've fished it in all sorts of conditions, on different methods, and although it's unpredictable in how well it fishes, I feel it's coming into good Summer form.

Today was my first morning session for a while. I've heard it's been fishing well in the morning so I had to give it a go, arriving at first light.

I had 2 pints of Caster, a tin of Corn, and a bag of Green Swim Stim groundbait. I was to fish a light 2BB Antenna waggler by the lilies, only stepping up to a heavier and thicker tipped insert waggler when the wind picked up mid session.

Despite noticing an improvement in my bubbles to bite ratio fishing with just Caster compared to other baits over the silty bottom, I decided to go ahead with the groundbait, which produced a lot of fizzing early morning.

Fortunately I was able to convert it into bites, landing 12 Tench of various sizes to under 5lb, before the sun came up.

Fortunately, loose feeding caster kept bites coming once the sun came up from some quality Roach and the odd small Perch.

This is somewhat unusual for the park, as the Roach are usually much more sporadic,  it's not common to be able to put together a bag of them. I had to take advantage while I could, as a thunderstorm came over midday to end the session.

That's the biggest weight of fish I've caught from the park with maybe 35lb of Tench and 15lb of Silvers!
